♦ Description : “Yvan took refuge in Brittany, in his parents’ holiday home … the time he was alive. He survives by collecting cans in empty houses and fishing spiders. To find his friends, he does not know where to go: in Neosalem where the psychopath Saul took power? Or in Fortville, with its Terres Basses and its paranormal horrors? One night, Camille visits him. With his astonishing words and his incredible knowledge of the fifteen families, Yvan understands that she is the Child-Midnight, the chosen of the families of evil. Camille threatens him: he must join his friends in Fortville or face the visit of the night nailers. Then she disappears as suddenly as she arrived. The next night, a double-decker bus comes out of the sea and pours a horde of zombie children who, armed with nails and hammers, attack the mansion where Yvan took refuge. Yvan then begins nights of waking, flight and nightmare in the most frightening episode of fright in the series.”

Biography

“Bruno Gazzotti”

Authors Biography
Bruno Gazzotti – was born on September 16, 1970 on the heights of Liège, in Cointe. His Italian grandfather had come to work in the Belgian mines. Arrived in Belgium at the age of 4-5, his father had opted for Belgian nationality and married a Liégeoise. Physical education teacher like his wife, he followed with passion the B.D. proposed by SPIROU and TINTIN. The young Bruno will quickly be contaminated by this virus. At a young age, he strives to learn to read to understand the texts that accompany the images that attract him. Spirou, Tintin, Gaston and Natacha are among his favorite heroes and he draws a lot to make his hand. Naturally shy, he finds in this exercise a way to be appreciated and encouraged by an environment very open to comics. He finished his secondary studies at the Institut Saint-Luc in Liège and entered the graduate cycle in the autumn of 1988, in the Beaux-Arts section, but the academic side of this type of course and the inclination of his professors for illustration rather than comics bored him quickly. In November 1988, shortly after his eighteen years, he went to SPIROU with a record of essays in various genres (humorous, realistic, semi-realistic) and a few planks of gags revolving around the profession of veterinarian. This last project will not be retained, but its varied palette seduces Patrick Pinchart, editor-in-chief at the time, who orders some illustrations for the section “Zig-Zag” and sends it at random to Tome, who seeks a collaborator to assist Janry in making the gags of “Petit Spirou”. After a test page on this character, Gazzotti is committed to the Atelier Tome and Janry, and abandons his studies to devote himself entirely to the comic strip. His collaboration with “Petit Spirou” begins at the twentieth gag and will extend over sixty boards, with some hand-ons on the episode “Spirou and Fantasio in Moscow”. He is however particularly attracted by the adventures of the semi-realistic type and it is quite naturally that Tome thinks of him in June 1989 to take again the drawing of the series “Soda” that Luc Warnant wishes to give up. On board 12 of the third episode of this character (“You will not buteras”), Bruno Gazzotti attacks this challenge and wins it hands down. After having bent to the initial mold, the talented young designer releases his own style and refines this album series into an album. It is based on a rich documentation of several thousand photographs taken during his stay in New York. His effective and dynamic layout will bring the detective’s adventures among the bestsellers. After having lived in Brussels for a long time, at the Tome and Janry workshops, Gazzotti returned to Liège where, in parallel with the stories of his main character, he began to train young artists from the Cité Ardente in semi-realistic complete narratives.”
