♦ Description : “September 9, Manhattan. An ordinary man receives an anonymous envelope and starts walking towards the subway. No sooner had he stopped on the station platform than he exploded, sowing death around him. Very quickly, starts and explosions of this kind multiply at a crazy pace. Sam Pollack and Liz McGeary, the two investigating officers, must admit that they are facing a terrorist attack of unheard-of scale. An attack unclaimed and all the more difficult to counter that it turns innocents into human bombs, making them the agents of this apocalyptic scenario. All have been implanted a pacemaker trapped in the last two years. All receive these famous kraft envelopes and start walking. If they stop, the explosive charge goes off wherever they are, regardless of age, gender or skin color. The endless run of the so-called death walkers is just beginning.”
“An adictive plot carried out drumming.”
“Captivating, a tour de force.”
“Frédéric Mars (born in 1968 in Paris) is a French author of novels in very diverse genres: thriller, historical novels, fantasy, young adult, essays, pamphlets, etc. He spent his childhood in the Paris region (unfortunately), where he studied letters and journalism (hypokhâgne, then Celsa). A time editor in the magazine press, photographer, “ghost writer” and even screenwriter for television, he devoted himself only to writing novels for many years. Under pseudonym (s), he has even published several erotic novels … To you to discover what are the titles!
Originally from Saint-Malo, in Brittany, he returns there as often as possible to get fresh ideas … and to gorge himself on galettes, as well as the best half-salt butter in the world (that of the Bordier house), undoubtedly a detail for you, but for him as vital as the air you breathe. When he does not write, he goes into the dark rooms, his other great passion. Among his favorite films: Hannah and her sisters, Brazil, Barry Lyndon, Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind, Laurence anyways, etc. A “virus” that he seeks to transmit to all those around him, starting with his two sons.
Born in 1968, Frédéric Mars is the author of many bestsellers. He has notably signed the historical thriller The Blood of Christ (Michel Lafon) and the contemporary thriller Le Manuel du serial killer (Hachette). Passionate about English cinema and black and white photography, he now devotes himself to writing. Since he renounced the wage-earning – on the prescription of his psychoanalyst – Frederic Mars goes crazy with the nuts concepts that constantly occupy his mind. So, he thought it would be a shame not to share this chance with others. Because, as everyone knows, the more we are crazy, the more we read. And when he does not lose his reason, it is because he has found her again in some writing works (hardly) more serious. We call it novels, it seems. Her experiences in the field include: Her fragrance, Love is a woman, Lennon Paradise, The blood of Christ, Non Stop, The writers, How I stopped to know, etc.”
