♦ Description : “While a freezing cold has taken hold of Fjällbacka, a girl half-naked, emerged from the snowy forest, is hit by a car. When Patrik Hedström and her colleagues are warned, the girl has already been identified. This is Victoria, missing for four months. His body presents wounds that no accident can explain: his orbits are empty, his tongue is cut off and his eardrums pierced. Other cases of disappearance in the vicinity make us fear that the executioner is not his first victim. For her part, Erica Falck begins to exhume an old business for her new book. A woman has been serving her sentence for more than 30 years for killing her husband, a former lion tamer, who abused their daughter with her passive complicity. But Erica, who juggles her research, a house in perpetual disorder and twins putting the concept of unconditional love to the test, is convinced that this mother carries an even darker secret … With this ninth installment of the series Fjällbacka, Camilla Läckberg signs a twilight and violent polar.”
