“John La Galite”

“Grand Prix RTL-Lire, author of 19 novels including 14 published by Plon, translated into several languages, John La Galite, both his thrillers and his psychological dramas, has captivated and touch the heart of the public. JOHN LA GALITE (whose real name is JEAN MICHEL SAKKA) was born in Carthage (Tunisia) with an official father and a mother who taught French. Passionate about literature since childhood, he began writing as a high school student. After high school, he left Tunisia for Paris and the Faculty of Sciences where he obtained a PhD in biochemistry. In 1998, he moved to Florida, worked in various trades and then devoted himself to writing. Plon publishes his first novel, The Green Lizard, a manuscript rejected by 23 publishing houses. MIAMI HERALD then devotes two pages to him. Since then, he has published 14 novels at PLON under the name of John La Galite and Jean Michel Sakka, including Zacharie, Grand Prix RTL-READ. John La Galite (real name Jean-Michel Sakka) was born in 1959 in Carthage (Tunisia) of a father civil servant and a mother professor of French. He holds his pseudonym of an island off Tunisia. After high school at Lycée Carnot, he left Tunisia for Paris and the Faculty of Sciences where he obtained a PhD in biochemistry.
