♦ Description : “This is the funny epic of a cook who has never been afraid of anything. Pink and truculent character, Rose has survived the abjections of this awful twentieth century she went through without losing anything of his sensuality or his joie de vivre. Between two loves, she suffered everything: the Armenian genocide, the horrors of Nazism, the delusions of Maoism. But, each time, she resurrected to start again. Grinning and picaresque, this book tells the extraordinary adventures of a scandalous centenary which has a creed: “If Hell is History, Paradise is life”.
