Laurent Gounelle – was born on August 10, 1966 of a Catholic mother and a Protestant father. Native to the Cevennes, Ardeche and Venice by his father, Aisne, Holland and Belgium by his mother whose family lived a quarter of a century in Cochin China. At home, the Asian influence was felt even in the culinary habits … He receives a fairly strict education in a serious atmosphere which he escapes through daydreaming, reading, and observation of the world.
