biography

“Jean Baptiste Poquelin (Molière)”

Authors biography
“Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known as Molière, is a playwright, actor and conductor of French theater.

Considered the patron of the Comédie-Française, he is still the most played author. Ruthless for the pedantism of false scientists, the lie of ignorant doctors, the pretensions of wealthy bourgeois, the hypocrisy of false devotees, Molière loves the youth he wants to free from absurd constraints.

Molière remains since the seventeenth century the most played and most read authors of comedies of French literature, each era finding in him modern themes. It is also one of the pillars of literary education in France. French is also nicknamed “the language of Molière”.
