Authors Biography

“Martin Gray was born in 1922 in Warsaw to a Polish Jewish family. During the Second World War, he attends the creation of the Warsaw Ghetto by the Nazis,is himself locked up, and participates in the insurrection of 1943. Deported to Treblinka camp, he succeeds in escaping from it. flees to the United States. He became an American citizen and moved to France after making a fortune. In 1970, his wife, Dina, and four children died in a forest fire on the Côte d’Azur. He recounts this ordeal in the name of all my family, as well as the death of all his family in the camps. This testimony will be translated into more than twenty languages. Martin Gray will then write, among others, Life will be reborn from the night, The Forces of Life, Live standing, and In the name of all men, loud cry of anger against anti-Semitism and violence that bloody the world.

Twice remarried, father of five children, he creates the Dina Gray foundation, for the protection of man in his living environment. With L’Arche du Futur, an educational and cultural association that he founded on the French Riviera, he organizes debates for young people aged 15 to 25, on themes that are important to them. In 2000 he received the gold medal of the European Merit.
Martin Gray passed away on April 25, 2016.”
