♦ Description : “Feminists before the hour, the witches left as a legacy their knowledge and their powers, so many keys in the service of a free and powerful femininity. Subversive symbol of the feminist revolt, the figure of the witch is now back, ready to question our choices, our relationship to the world, to nature, to the body, to rationality, to sexuality … And what she has to teach us can really change our lives. Far from folklore and clichés, witches carry rich and multiple knowledge, which disturbs and upsets the established order. Why were they slaughtered in the 15th century, why did they try to forget them? Because they dared, in their time, to challenge the church, the authority (masculine in particular) and the very idea of property; they knew how to say “yes” when they wanted and “no” when they thought so.
To reclaim their history, their knowledge, their powers, is to allow each woman to regain her power, making her a worthy heir to the healers and midwives of yesteryear. It is to open new possibilities, in all fields (political, artistic, ecological, philosophical, human especially), it is daring to claim to be different, powerful and nevertheless beneficial.
This contemporary reading of the witches’ legacy resonates sharply in the age of feminist renewal.
– A little history of witches: what we know today witches, what they represented, why they were hunted …
– The powers and know-how of witches, so many fields of exploration of the feminine, well-being and personal development:
nature as a place of authenticity and freedom
freedom of speech, body, sexuality (nudity, polyamour, transgression of taboos …)
emancipation via feminine solidarity
manual work: kitchen, secret garden, work of the earth, wood
medicinal recipes and the secret of plants to cure and cure (phytotherapy, aromatherapy …)
the rituals: the art of fire, music, magic formulas, kundalini, tarot, techniques to load a place, increase its vibratory rate, boost its intuition …”
